Leonard started his working life in the construction trade. He successfully completed junior college, tried his hand at sales and was married – all before being drafted into the military during Vietnam, where he taught surveying layout for roads, airfields, heliports and building construction.

After his time in the military his two daughters were born. He then received his education degree and started to teach at a junior college. Then, one fateful night in 1968 a plane he was in crashed. Leonard was the lone survivor.

This sparked something in Leonard. His dear friend was in that plane and he experienced first hand that people need other people to help them with their problems. From that moment on, Leonard has been focused on therapy.

He worked with Alliance Hospital in Meridian, MS and later with Rush Hospital before deciding to open his own private practice.

He is married to Mrs. Beth Byrd (Smith) of Union, MS. Combined, their family includes two sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

His desire is to help others find pain and stress relief through the relaxation therapy found in hypnosis and acupressure. To learn more about his services, please click here.
